Innovative stress management survey for crisis managers
In the context of our goal to develop procedures and tools that improve psychosocial support in crisis management we have developed an exciting new questionnaire on the topic of stress and stress management. With the help of this questionnaire we try to identify potential stressors and coping mechanisms. This information will be crucial for our goal to develop an adaptive Stress Management Training tailored to the needs of crisis managers.
Therefore we kindly ask all crisis managers to fill out this questionnaire, which should not take more than 20 minutes to complete.
Within the project, crisis managers are defined as follows:
Crisis Managers are golden (strategic) and silver (tactical) commanders of responding institutions, public authorities, agencies for technical relief or the military (etc.), which are either permanent heads or members of a disaster management unit or can be nominated or appointed respectively. They have staff and decision making responsibilities and belong to the middle and higher management.
If you fulfill these criteria or know anyone who fits into this definition we kindly ask you to help us with this exciting new study. Of course participation is entirely voluntary. The questionnaire is available in 3 different languages (Spanish, German and English). The data gathered will be kept strictly confidential and will only be accessible by project staff. Coded data will be securely and anonymously stored in accordance with LMU’s psychological ethics commission’s data protection and ethical policies. The aggregated data from all participants will be reported in project reports and may subsequently be published in journal articles and presented at scientific conferences. Dissemination of any kind will not identify individual participants.
